Now, 6 years and three documentary films later, documenting these trips have become a central part of what he does. Here's some hot threads going on right now around Creative COW!
Business & Marketing Forum : How to price a car dealership commercial
Do you have the ability to deliver a proper finished product to the media that is running the spot? You can't just cut a commercial together and drop a dvd off at the tv station, in most instances. Some of the smaller markets do that but they don't do it here. Check on this before you get too far. If you need to have it transferred, find a post house now that will do it when it's ready and make sure that you provide exactly what they need. This could kill your project down the road.
HD High-End Forum : HD cameras & formats
The problem with HD is that it creates huge pools of data. The problem with creating...and then handling huge pools of data is that it is not cheap. Unfortunately for manufacturers "cheap" is a very popular feature...so some compromises need to be made.
RED Camera Forum : this is my favorite Cow forum
The excitement level, and the insanity level for this product, and it's corresponding workflow, is like no other product in our industry right now (and it's a lot more fun than trying to deal with someone wanting to know how to get their HDV Camera to edit all by itself).
If this camera didn't sell for $17.5, no one would even be looking at this forum (or paying attention).
