Multi-Language COW

FLAGS! You may have noticed all the new flags around The COW. They represent all of the multi-language support that we have added to Creative COW. There are flags that represent English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi -- with others planned for later as we develop the new translator refinements in the days ahead.

While the translations are not perfect, we have worked to isolate words like trademarks, products and other words that should not be translated, while keeping the words that should be translated. From what we are hearing from members, while it may not be perfect it is understandable and people can communicate across language barriers and get support from the vast worldwide community of Creative COW.

WANT TO HELP? If you would like to help us refine the new translation features in the COW and you are comfortable with your native language and English, please write us at translation@creativecow.net and we will be happy to add you to the development team.

Creative COW has always meant Creative Communities of the World, and this is just another step in building the world's greatest pasture for media professionals around the world. So if you have friends that couldn't take part in the COW because of language barriers, well, it just got a whole lot friendlier for our international friends to join in the COW -- so invite them and let them know of the new language features.

All of us on the COW Team would like to give a nod of the COW ears to Abraham Chaffin for writing this latest addition to the COW interface and also Google, whose search engine has been very busy cataloging all of the new pages available in the various languages. So far, some of our languages have as many as 70,000+ pages that have been searched and cataloged by Google -- making these pages available to media professionals around the world in a wide range of languages. Thank you, Google Team, we appreciate your support.

The world just got a little bit smaller.
